When you see the golden pagodas and antique houses surrounded by mighty mountains in the north of Mandalay, it seems as if they’ve been kept untouched for centuries. Can you guess what this land is hiding? Mogok, the ancient city in Myanmar, is home to the world’s most splendid Rubies, and it’s been that way forever. Red Gemstones were first recorded in Burma in the 15th century, but it is believed that gemstone production began as early as 6th century AD. With the worlds most precious gemstones hidden within, no gem mine on the planet has been as essential and fruitful as Mogok. In 2018, Mogok celebrated 800 years’ anniversary. Watching the Ruby Land from the eyes of a bird, we admire Mother Nature’s love for beauty and creation. This legendary city of treasure is almost permanently closed to foreign visitors. A few lucky ones who manage to gain access, admit that the spirit of Mogok is quite unlike anything else in the world.
