MEDELIV (Medical Delivery Drone) : St. Luke’s Medical Center Student Innovation Project

MEDELIV your medical delivery drone A project proposed by the Manufacturing Engineering and Management students of De La Salle University MEDELIV provides a system of delivery that allows fast and easy transportation of Medicine to distant secluded areas in the Philippines. Once a request has been processed and received from a medical professional, the parcel from the distribution center will be carried out by a specially designed drone. The drone will be able to navigate through various obstacles along it’s flight path avoiding structures and other unknown objects [Music] Being able to travel in the air allows for faster delivery as there will be no traffic. MEDELIV also plans on acquiring a network of drones to allow for multiple deliveries to different places at the same time. The items to be delivered will be kept in a secure container safely attached to the drone and free from external harms of the environment. [Music] The process of requesting and tracking the package will be done through an application that can show the real-time location of the drone and will notify the receiver once the drone is arriving. With this technology, people no longer need to risk themselves traveling to inaccessible places because with MEDELIV there is an immediate cost effective response to those in need of medical supplies. For MEDELIV is an innovation geared in saving lives [Music]
