GoPro Hero 8: Massive Test Footage Comparison

Hey folks, it’s Ray from DC Rainmaker.com here. And this is the complete compilation video of GoPro Hero 8 footage against all sorts
of other things. Against the GoPro Hero 7 Black. Against the DJI Osmo Action.
Against the GoPro Hero 8 Black itself- in different modes. It’s all in here.
There’s 13 (probably plus) by time I get done with this video, different segments
that you can look at. You can see them all on this side, or that side. Some side.
You’ll see the whole inventory of them. There’s also an inventory in the
description down there, and in the first comment. So you can go ahead and just click on the hyperlinks to which section you want to watch. All that footage is there, but
also I added footage in a Dropbox share that you can see in the description. So for
things like the high bitrate footage, for example, that doesn’t really come out too
well in YouTube – So you’ll want to just download the actual sample footage.
That’s the same stuff in the video as is in the Dropbox share. And I’m gonna try to
upload a bunch more things over time. Keep in mind it may take a little bit
time because it’s kind of big files to get up to the interwebs. Now of course, if
you haven’t seen my full “Hero 8 – 18 Things to Know” video up in a corner, definitely
check that out. That’s all the new features; all the new functions; all just
new stuff; both the good the bad and definitely some ugly in there as well. So
I’ve got that all listed up there. Otherwise I think that’s basically it.
I’m not going to narrate the video at all. It’s just for you to look at the
video clips and decide for yourself what you like or don’t like about things. The
key thing I would say to look at in general across any comparison footage, is not only stability and the audio quality, but also what is cropped and what isn’t
cropped. So in other words, in the frame there, what is in the frame when you are
comparing two cameras on the same modes, or different modes. And the what is left
out of the frame because I had to zoom in to achieve that particular
stabilization effect. So that’s the key thing I would look for. But the main
thing though, is if you are finding this video interesting, helpful, or anything
like that, go ahead and whack that like button at the bottom there. It really helps with
this video, and with the channel quite a bit. With that enjoy! all that jazz that makes action stuff usually look a little bit cooler okay, this is a bit of a stabilization
and audio test all combined into one. I’ve got the Hero 8 Black and the Hero
7 Black- Both set for 4K /30 Boost on the Hero 8, and Hyper Smooth 1.0 on the Hero 7. In this case of auto settings for everything else. And then I’ll let you listen to the exact same clip again, with the other camera audio. Okay this is a bit of a

the Hero 7 and then covering up the Hero 8. Both these 4K/30 with the respective Boost and Hyper Smooths on. And this is a simple audio test, there’s some wind cutting through here right now. It kind
of goes up and down, you can see the trees a little bit there and probably hear
it on one of them. And then I’m gonna go ahead and I’ll show you at the bottom there you can see which particular camera I’m on for the audio side of things. And I’ve
got side by side for the video so you can compare to that as well, if you so
want to. Okay going ahead and covering up the Hero 7 and covering up the Hero 8.

cameras on 4k/30 with the Hero 8 and Boost Mode as well.
So I’m not talking super loud, just kind of like normal talking as if I’m talking to someone else next to
me- because I already look strange enough as it is having two cameras on here. One of which is orange, walking down an airport in France or Switzerland it’s actually kind
of half-and-half. So, just gonna listen to things- how they sound, how they look- stability wise, and all that jazz. Okay, here’s a bit of an audio
